Love does not suck. Love is good. Love is great. Breaking up after a lot of love does suck. I know how you feel, yet none of us (me or my g/f) messed up with each other. Don't know what's better though. Have the feeling to be fooled, or have the feeling it is still possible to be together.
Most Scots seem to have a disdain for us english , so maybe he was deliberately messing you about !
